The Euro, abbreviated as EUR, symbolized by €, is the currency of the European Monetary Union, so far consisting of Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.

Setting up new business activities in one of the member countries of what is often called "Euroland" or the "Eurozone" means you have access to a market of 325 million people. Although they share a common currency and an open internal market, legislation and taxes still differ widely.
